The South (‘Bent’) Pyramid at Dashur in the morning haze

The two pyramids built by Senefru at Dashur are the keys to our understanding of the whole pyramid phenomenon. It still needs to be explained why this pharaoh needed at least three pyramids (these two and another at Maidum to the south). The change of angle of the Bent Pyramid and the unusually low angle of the Red Pyramid have yet to be satisfactorily explained.
